I'm surprised by George Lucas - not because he is one half of an interracial couple but because he is in a relationship at all! It doesn't seem too long ago that I watched a biographical TV show in which the devoted single dad emphatically stated that he was'nt interested in pursuing any more romantic relationships. I guess she must have changed his mind for him!
interesting but not entirely surprising. I grew up the same way but also traveled abroad and for couples abroad is not even really a topic. It is more about status or class. Although, there are still a few who feel differently.
Well put together hub. I've always like the NYC couple Grace Hightower and Robert DeNiro. They've been together so long and then married but yet when they are out and about folks still don't know they are an old married couple.
Right now NYC seems to be the interracial capital of the US.
This was fun to go through.
Thanks!
I really loved this hub.
Most of the people I knew about.
I am happy for Halley Berry the most. She needs some happiness in her life finally.
George Lucus really did shock me though. I do remember a program about his wanting to just raise his children, and I thought wow, just like most of us woman. You just do not want to take any chances. Still, I must admit when I saw him with Ms. Hobson I was stunned.
Thanks for the post.
coco and ice r my fav..i luv coco's body!
I am glad to see the number of celebrities who have decided on love in their choice of partners. I think it is wonderful that many people today can put aside their prejudices and admit that they are attracted to someone of another race. My son has an interracial marraige and I think he made a wise choice. They have a wonderful relationship. I read an article on Halle Berry, who I think is bi-racial herself and she seemed to be leaning toward dating more black men and a bit prejudice. She seems to have changed her opinion.
hey i love ur site ... its just like mine
as long as the black guy isnt a gangbanger...then the relationships last...if he is a gangbanger...someone that sounds/looks like lil chris or whatever his stupid name is...well that usually ends in violence, and ruined children...hell look at tiger woods...Black people always cheat on white women
Hi TM good reading im in an interacial relationship myself. Although i dont really think about it. It more about different cultures mixing than skin colours. Skin is Skin at the end of the day. There are loads of Interacial couples as well as celebrities its no longer taboo to date someone of a different colour or nationality to yourself and afterall you cant help who you fall in love with
I come from a place where we don't see much of any other race except ours. Which may come as surprising, then, that I'm dating a guy from another country, language, religion, culture, race entirely! We don't notice each other's skin tones any more, to be honest! I wasn't looking for love, and he understood that - it just happened. A lot of his friends have married interracially, interreligiously, interculturally, and have children with their respective spouses - and happy marriages. In my experience, difference, like beauty, is only skin deep. We all have the same colour blood running through our veins. :D
What's the big deal....you can't help the people you fall inlove with....I guess as long you people get along, like and love each other, then leave them be....it's all in the game of coming together as one nation
it's good to see interracial couples...my brother married someone who is out of my race and I think I'm falling in love with someone of another race too :) thanks for this!!
Loved reading your page. It amazes me though, how in 2011 we still have racism. I was born and raised in the south, so I'm use to the "looks" I get when my fiance, who is Mexican, and I go out. I just hope one day people will wake up and start putting more focus on issues that need attention(child abuse, animal cruelty, bullying, etc.) instead of who someone chooses to fall in love with. Thanks, again
I find that people want something to direct there unhappiness at. When they find something that they couldn't be happy with, they direct it at that.
Didn't know what George Lucas was in a interracial relationship. Tony Parker doesn't really count, he's half himself.
I like that Baby Spice is "down with the swirl".
It is great and so positive to see people dating outside their races, especially celebrities.
LOVE HAS NO BARRIER.
All beautiful couples! I'm a big Eva Longoria fan as well, she's far too pretty. Nicely done here!

Hi TM, This hub surprised me! I had no idea there were so many interracial celebrity couples. Tiger Woods and Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria Parker I knew about. Who knew about people like Roger Ebert?
I think it's great to have well known and well respected people setting such a positive example.
Bummer about Chris Noth, tho. How does he justify two-timing Sarah Jessica Parker, LOL?
